About the Ex Forces Support Service

Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington is one of 14 partners that are supporting veterans across Yorkshire.

The project sets out to reduce loneliness and isolation in older veterans by providing a telephone befriending service. The largely rural nature of the county poses specific challenges. Through the Telephone befriending service provides complete coverage of the region whilst offering support, signposting and guidance to each individual.
