Veteran's Café Opens it's Doors in Northallerton

Posted on Thursday, 23 August 2018 1:22 pm | Category: Northallerton An offshoot of our popular Veterans Café opens it's doors in Northallerton.

Our Northallerton centre welcomed the Mayor of Northallerton, Cllr. John Forrest to officially open the first Northallerton based Veterans Café on Wednesday. Run by ex-servicemen to cater specifically for the needs of veterans, the café provides a place where they can meet, take part in activities and enjoy mutual support and camaraderie.

The café will be open every Wednesday between 10am and 12pm and will be running activities and trips for all veterans over the age of 65. Hambleton & Richmond Service Manager, Adrian Lindop said;

"We need to get veterans engaged and reduce lonliness and isolation, this cafe we're running will ensure they're surrounded by like minded people It will be run by veterans, for veterans."

The centre would also benefit from volunteers to assist with running activities and help with day to day running, if you're interested please call our Northallerton office on 01609 771624
