New Office Opens to Serve Richmondshire

Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington is making access to its information and advice and good friends support service more accessible to people living in Richmondshire with the opening of a new office in Richmond town centre. The office in the Zetland Square development on the town's Dundas Street is convenient for residents to use with an accessible ground floor office and a town centre location.

Richmond residents aged over 50 can make use of the wide variety of information and advice on offer including help to tackle a wide range of issues including General Benefit checks, Attendance Allowance, the switch from Disability Living Allowance to Personal Independence Plans, Welfare Rights, Housing, Consumer, Community Care Services and other general issues.

The Good Friends service also based in the office matches volunteers to people in their local area who need just a little extra support. Richmondshire residents are encouraged to get involved with this project designed to help older and vulnerable people in the community. More information about the project can be found at
