Age UK North Yorkshire & darlington continues to deliver dozens of hot meals every day across the region.

The charity has moved to reassure people that the vital services will stay in place despite the current loclkdown restrictions.

Chief Eexecutive Helen Hunter said the service was a lifeline for many families worried about relatives in such difficult circumstances.

More volunteers are being sought to extend the service which provides a two course hot meal delivered to the door for just £6.50.

The charity also provides information and advice for people and a telephone befriending service.
