Exploring the Northern Echo Archives with Chris Lloyd

Posted on Tuesday, 5 December 2017 9:07 am | Category: Darlington Our number of our history enthusiast volunteers were treated to a tour of the Northern Echo archives by Chris Lloyd

A number of our volunteers were shown around the news archive of the Northern Echo yesterday (4th December 2017), with a tour of the archive given by local historian and Chief Featuer Writer of the Northern Echo, Chris Lloyd.

The visit was arranged with the help of Northern Echo editor, Andy Richardson after learning of the budding historians who volunteer for Age UK North Yorkshire and Darlington.

Gillian Peel, CEO who joined the volunteers on the tour said "We were all fascinated with the vast range and volume of cuttings and papers!"

The talks are scheduled for 11am, Noon & 1pm.

Chris' book is also available in retailers now as well as via Amazon.
