Care Volunteers

Related Service:Respite Day Care

Our Day Centre offers a lifeline to older people and their carers, providing respite and activities to support those at the early stages of dementia. Volunteers are at the heart of the service, offering a friendly face and supporting the work of the care staff to make the day visitor's day extra special.

We're looking for volunteers, preferably with some healthcare experience or of working with older people and people living with dementia to support the work of our day centre. 

Tasks will include; speaking with the recipients and sharing stories, helping with activities and supporting the day clients with lunch and refreshments.

Volunteer Adminstrator (Skipton)

Location:South Craven

This is an exciting volunteering role to support the Regional Manager in the administration of groups and activities in the Swadford Centre. Duties will include helping with bookings, enquiries and answering the phones. 

The ideal volunteer will have some administration or office experience, be friendly and organised.

Can you help us deliver a hot meal or pick up a perscription or shopping for a sheltering older person?

Volunteer Drivers are needed to help us deliver our hot meals to vulnerable people in the community. We also need help with collecting and delivering shopping and perscriptions. We will provide you with training in infection control and reducing the risk of spreading the virus.

Your own vehicle is required for this role and petrol costs will be covered.
