If you like spending time with others and have a few spare hours each week, you could make a huge difference to someone's life by providing low level support to older residents such as keeping someone company for a few hours in their home, helping with practical tasks like shopping or collecting prescriptions.

Café / Kitchen Assistants

This volunteer role is crucial to the smooth running of the kitchen. You will be responsible for the food station which prepares salads, sandwiches, toasties, baked potatoes, hot and cold puddings. You will also assist with takeaway orders. 

Full training will be given on all aspects of food preparation and presentation.

Café Refresh Host/Hostess

We have an in house cafe and takeaway service. Host/ Hostess duties include customer service, drink preparation, taking orders, clearing tables for kitchen staff, cleaning tables, shelves etc.

The host will also process payment (cash or card) use till to record sales and help cash up at the end of business. Full training is provided!

Care Volunteers

Our Day Centre offers a lifeline to older people and their carers, providing respite and activities to support those at the early stages of dementia. Volunteers are at the heart of the service, offering a friendly face and supporting the work of the care staff to make the day visitor's day extra special.

We're looking for volunteers, preferably with some healthcare experience or of working with older people and people living with dementia to support the work of our day centre. 

Tasks will include; speaking with the recipients and sharing stories, helping with activities and supporting the day clients with lunch and refreshments.

Drama Group Leader


We're looking for a dynamic and engaging person with a background in drama and theatre to help us develop and lead drama workshops for older people. The role will focus on building confidence and battling isolation through drama as well as helping raise money to support the charity.

Volunteer Drivers

Can you help us deliver a hot meal or pick up a perscription or shopping for a sheltering older person?

Volunteer Drivers are needed to help us deliver our hot meals to vulnerable people in the community. We also need help with collecting and delivering shopping and perscriptions. We will provide you with training in infection control and reducing the risk of spreading the virus.

Your own vehicle is required for this role and petrol costs will be covered.
